Fans were delighted to learn that 90 Day Fiancé star Stacey Silva exchanged vows a second time with longtime sweetheart Florian Sukaj in a memorable weekend wedding ceremony. However, even more glamorous was the extravagant mermaid wedding dress cascading around Stacey Silva as she soared through her big day.
In an interview with People, Stacey revealed the captivating effect of her wedding dress was exactly what she hoped for. According to her, she wanted her wedding dress to have lots of crystals and feel like a million bucks while still managing to look classy, sophisticated, and “haute couture.”
Stacey Silva Went Extra Miles To Achieve The Perfect Wedding Dress
To achieve her statement-making dream dress, she recruited Albanian American designer Katerina Bocci. Along with her team, Bocci spent 200 hours on the masterpiece, decking it out in stone and finishing it off with a detachable skirt. The result became the infamous mermaid dress Stacey Silva donned at her November 4, 2022, wedding to Florian Sukaj. The reality star gushed:
“She just made my dream dress come true. It’s the most beautiful spectacular dress I ever, ever could have ever dreamed off.”
On her part, Bocci found the outcome of the head-turning piece, which she deemed the ideal “Stacey dress,” thrilling. To make the dress better stand out, the designer designed two three-inch wide handcuffs, which the reality star wore while holding her bouquet. She described the pieces as unique and beautiful, with a grand, “avant-garde” look.
Stacey’s Dress Became The Star Of the Show
After several daunting hours, a team of experts, and other creative inputs, the dream dress came to life. They made a similarly striking piece for Stacey’s twin sister Darcey, who served as the maid of honor. Gushing about her wedding dress, Stacey Silva admitted it came out just as she wanted. She divulged:
“I’m very blessed to have a Katerina Bocci dress. They were designed perfectly individually for me and for the maid of honor. They are very bling-y and the star of the show. They were shinning like diamonds.”
Notably, it cost more than just daunting hours to create the wedding dress, as Bocci pointed out. According to the pro designer, creating the dress could be likened to cooking, where a mix of garlic, spices, and other herbs created the desired taste. Likewise, throwing in the embroidery of different shapes and mixing various stones and textures worked together in creating the perfect finish. Thankfully, Stacey Silva relished the finished wedding dress, which made her the cynosure of all eyes as she walked down the aisle with her husband Florian Sukaj.
