Namely, there is a big difference in age and geographical location. He is older than her and is American born, while she is from the Philippines. The problem is he is running out of funding because of her.
The sad reality is he has already sent her three grand in the last year. But once he visited her and met her parents, he realized how bad her situation is. The house is a shack filled with bugs and it smelled of urine and feces. So, he wants to help, but at what point does he need to draw the line?

The one pressing issue David has is that Sheila has not been working. Though there have been rumors online she owns a general store now, that is yet to be validated. In his eyes, she has not worked since the pandemic, and this worries him. He has asked her to get a job on multiple occasions. When she recently asked for more money to help fix the house her mom died in, David became conflicted. He said he would send it if it will help her find work.
90 Day Fiancé’s Sheila Mangubat is still using David for his money and there’s no end to it in sight. Hopefully, he will wise up and figure out he needs to cut his losses soon. Either that or she will bleed the poor sap dry.
