Gears 5, the next installment in the series following the reboot/sequel that was Gears of War 4, released a new cinematic trailer at E3 along with another trailer showcasing a new mode coming to the game. You can see the cinematic trailer below:

And here is the trailer for the new game mode coming to Gears 5, Escape:

Gears 5 is adding on new modes but it seems the core of what made the multiplayer so great in the first place is sticking around. Chainsaws and a lot of gore. That being said, the Escape mode looks awesome. Escape could end up being an exciting new mode to accompany the likes of Horde and the core multiplayer. Just like the E3 2018 announcement trailer, this cinematic trailer revolved around Kait Diaz and her journey to discover her lineage. To close out the game’s E3 showing, Microsoft announced that those who pre-order Gears 5 will be able to play as the T-800 as apart of a crossover with the upcoming Terminator: Dark Fate film. Anyone who has an Xbox Game Pass subscription will have access to this content for free as well.

Some warriors are born. Others are built. Get the Terminator Dark Fate character pack when you pre-order #Gears5 or play within the first week. #XboxE3https://t.co/8Nrh4tQvhb pic.twitter.com/4Ai27nY7VC

Gears 5 will release on September 10th, 2019 for Xbox One and Windows PC.
