Amazon Prime Day arrives on July 15, but some of the online retailer’s competitors are trying to beat it to the punch. Walmart launched The Big Save on Sunday with the apparent aim being beating Amazon at its own game.

There are all kinds of items offered up with massive deals, but electronics and video games are front and center. Among some of the most popular games on offer is the recent remake of Resident Evil 2.

Not only has the game gotten tons of great reviews, but the developers have packed in a ton of new content including some free DLC.

If survival horror isn’t what you’re looking for, Walmart’s version of Amazon Prime Day has you covered anyway. Maybe you’re more of a sports fan? NBA 2K19 is discounted by $40. Players can also get in line for NBA 2k20. FIFA 19 is getting a deep discount in The Big Save as well.

Walmart knows Amazon Prime Day is about more than video games so software isn’t the only thing frugal shoppers will be able to pick up with an excellent lower price tag. Consoles are on offer as well.

The Nintendo Switch, packaged with a game of your choice, is currently on sale for $329. Considering the Switch itself usually retails for $299 all on its own, you could save about $30 on the right title.

PS4 gamers aren’t being left out in the cold either. The Big Save is offering up a bundle of the PS4 Pro and an excellent headset for just $448. You can also snag a 1TB PlayStation4 for $299 as well.

Best of all is that because Walmart has plenty of brick and mortar locations, there are all kinds of games and consoles you can purchase online and then pick up later today. That particular feature beats out even Amazon Prime’s two-day delivery.

Do you think Walmart is going to outperform Amazon Prime Day? Let us know in the comments below.
