Monster Hunter: World has been a smashing success since its launch at the beginning of the year.  The game’s publisher, Capcom just announced the degree to which it has been a success. The company also announced plans to celebrate the new milestone.

The newest title in the long-running Monster Hunter series just surpassed 13 million units shipped. That number is not only the best selling game in Capcom’s catalog. The game is the best selling title in Capcom’s catalog by an almost two-to-one ratio.

Resident Evil 5, no slouch when it comes to sales, comes in a very distant second to Monster Hunter: World with 7.5 million units shipped worldwide. Knowing those numbers, it’s not a surprise at all that Capcom is in a festive mood.

Hunters, we've hit another big #MHWorld milestone: 13 million units shipped worldwide! ❤️

We're celebrating by giving everyone a special item pack! Look out for these useful items when you claim your Daily Login Bonus between July 25 and August 29. pic.twitter.com/lUtqaWHhxk

The publisher announced on Wednesday night it’s going to be giving gamers a new in-game special item pack as part of the celebration for surpassing the 13 million mark. Players who log in between July 25 and August 29 will be able to grab an Attack Jewel, 13 Appreciation Tickets, 13 Silver Eggs, three Gold Wyverian Prints, and three Heavy Armor Spheres.

These items are on top of what users are already able to get as part of their “daily login bonus” offered up in Monster Hunter: World. The best news of all is that there aren’t any kind of requirements that you be a player before this offer goes into effect.

In other words, if you’re not already one of the tens of millions of people who have purchased the game, there’s now a new incentive to finally do so. This new gift serves as a nice leadup to the launch of the upcoming Iceborne expansion releasing just a week after this offer expires.

Monster Hunter: World is available now for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One and the Iceborne expansion will launch for consoles on September 6. The new content will arrive on the PC sometime later.

Are you going to take advantage of Capcom’s celebrating the 13 million units shipped benchmark? Let us know in the comments below.
