Star Wars: Battlefront is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated and talked about games at this year’s E3. And now, Anthony Daniels, famously known for his role as C-3P0 in the Star Wars movies, has announced that he will be be lending his voice to the game. The actor and EA’s Star Wars twitter account recently confirmed the news of his involvement in the game.
The confirmation comes via a tweet which EA announced, “We’ve got C3PO“.
Anthony Daniels also tweeted, “One day it’s the hilarious YODA CHRONICLES: the next, the astounding BATTLEFRONT! (Just the ying and yang of being C-3PO at the microphone)“.
This will be the first appearance from C-3P0 in the Battlefront franchise. Many are speculating that he will be part of side missions rather then serve as a playable character. Additionally, R2-D2 will be a character in the game as well, so it will be interesting to see what type of dynamic the characters will share, as well as the type of content they add to the game.
Nevertheless, much about the games, including C-3PO’s role, is unclear. It is also uncertain what role Anthony Daniels will play in the game. What we do know however is that many major characters from the Star Wars universe will be making an appearance in the game and will be playable. Stay tuned during E3 to learn more details about the game.
