Call of Duty Mobile surpassed the 35 million download mark. Considering that the game launched only on October 1, this number seems even more impressive. Furthermore, with its 35 million downloads in just three days, Call of Duty Mobile is now a record holder. Indeed, it has become the first shooter for mobile to exceed 35 million downloads in just three days from the launch. The download data includes iOS and Android.
Also, what makes this success even more impressive is that the game is yet to be released in China. And at the moment, the game is ranked as the No.1 app in more than 100 countries on iOS.
According to Sensor Tower, Call of Duty Mobile made more than $2 million on 20 million installs so far. The country with more installs in India, which leads with 14%. The United States is in 9th place with 9%.
Peripherals support on Call of Duty Mobile
The controller support was included in the game but then it has been removed shortly after launch. So, now players are forced to use the touchscreen. And playing Call of Duty Mobile on a touchscreen can be complicated. For this reason, many players would like to see the controller support included in the game. And it seems that a solution may be on its way.
About the implementation of controller support, in an interview with Hypebeast, Activision’s VP of Mobile Chris Plummer said:
“In terms of peripherals, we are looking at the possibility and have already been testing controller support with a portion of our live audience. It is very important to us that we maintain fair balance across the game. One example of this is we have separate lobbies in Battle Royale for first-person perspective and third-person perspective players since you have the option to choose either in Battle Royale. We may implement a similar solution for players using controllers if needed.”
There is also a solution for mouse and keyboard aficionados. In fact, GameLoop‘s team announced that it’s possible to play for free on PC.
“Playing Call of Duty Mobile on GameLoop allows you to break through the limitation of phones with a bigger screen to achieve wider field of view, mouse and keyboard to ensure precise aiming and shooting. More importantly, exclusive key mapping and in-depth adaption will bring you the most immersive and wonderful experience.”
