Dishonored fans, rejoice! We have news that Dishonored 2 is in the works, and this time we will have a few new additions. One of the biggest additions is that we will be able to choose to play as one of two different protagonists, Corvo, Dishonored’s original protagonist, and Emily Kaldwin, Dishonored 2’s new protagonist and the rightful heir to the throne in the original game.
The Dishonored video showcase illustrates a similar environment to the original Dishonored, with an empire at war, and what appears to be a plague (with rats). We are then taken to a chateau, which Emily infiltrates in an apparent assassination attempt. Emily is greeted by what we can assume is her target (a man), and then flanked by a robot. The trailer also had other nods to the first game, such as The Outsider who gave Corvo his powers, as well as Corvo’s iconic mask.
Bethesda and Arkane closed the night with talking about game mechanics, stating that their will be new diverse weapons, and that players will continue to have the option to not kill any enemies. The game will be available for PC, XBOX One and PS4. A release date was not announced.
