Its been almost a decade since we’ve seen a Mirror’s Edge game, so it’s about time for a new one. EA has decided to deliver finally at E3 this year with Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst. This will be an origin story for the protagonist of the original Mirror’s Edge, Faith. The focus in this story is one the corporation police state which you will continue to parkour and karate chop your way through, just like the first one. They did say “no guns” this time, though. So you’ll be forced to be even more pacifist.
In their announcement, EA promised a true free-roam game. No levels, no load screens. This could be a really amazing and innovative game if EA delivers on their promises. The graphics have been updated from the blank white screens of the original, but still deliver on the trademark minimalist tone.
This game is currently slotted to release on February 23rd, 2016.
