Simulator games are all the rage now. It appears any subject is viable for a video game adaptation. Various developers have brought simulations for goats, buses, hunting, bees, farms, and more to game consoles across the world. Now, Affable Games is pushing the genre in a new direction with their upcoming title, Speaking Simulator.

Speaking Simulator: A New Type of Simulator Game

In Speaking Simulator, players take control of an android sent to infiltrate human society. According to the press release, your goal is to rise through the ranks of mankind and become the President of the world. Then, your machine allies can take control of the planet and dominate humanity. Therefore, you must live amongst humans, learn how they speak and use that knowledge to sweet-talk your way to the top. Sounds easy, right?

Speaking Simulator utilizes various mechanics to create a unique gaming experience. Learn how to simulate human speech by moving your tongue and pursing your lips. Created with real linguistic theory, players will start off in everyday situations such as dates and interviews. Furthermore, as your proficiency increases, you will take on harder challenges like presentations and eulogies. However, take too long to form your words and your face will explode. Humans see that as a bad sign, so failure is not an option!

Players can customize their characters in Speaking Simulator. Unlock upgrades for your android which will increase the difficulty. Go for high scores on each level, with the score increasing on harder difficulties. In addition, learn how to use Socio-Optic Dynamics and Facial Expression Pistons to make eye contact and wiggle your eyebrows. Master speech and facial expressions to rise to a position of power and secure power for your fellow androids!

Speaking Simulator releases January 30 on Nintendo Switch, with the PC and Mac versions available through Steam. What do you think about this title? Do you prefer games like Goat Simulator instead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
