Those hoping to get into the shoes of Tony Stark will have to wait a bit longer. Iron Man VR was initially set to release in late February of 2020 but has now been delayed to May 15, 2020.

Iron Man VR allows players to become their own hero and fight villains fully.

In a statement on Twitter, developer Camouflaj said that the delay was due to wanting to meet the expectations of fans. Even though the delay means it will take longer to get in on the action, hopefully, it gives the developers more time and to not have to crunch as much to make the original release date.

In order to deliver on our vision and meet the high expectations of our amazing community, weโ€™ve made the difficult decision to move Marvelโ€™s Iron Man VR to a May 15, 2020 release. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Youโ€™ll be hearing from us again soon!

Iron Man VR allows you to fly around and fight in your own superhero suit. You play as Tony Stark, who must take on the elusive hacker Ghost, who threatens to use old Stark weapons for nefarious purposes.

Fly and Fight in Iron Man VR

After donning the PSVR, you are put in the eyes of Tony Stark flying around obstacles. The game also uses the PlayStation Move controllers for controlling flight and shooting energy blasts at enemies.

This delay does put a hamper on those PSVR gamers hoping to have something new to play in the new year, but more games are on the way. Other PSVR games coming soon in 2020 are Paper Beasts, Space Channel 5 VR, and the PSVR support for Dreams coming soon after its Valentineโ€™s Day launch.

Iron Man VR

Iron Man VR is the newest in a line of recent delays on major games that were soon to be released. Other high-profile setbacks include Cyperpunk 2077 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Iron Man VR is not the only Marvel game to get delayed in 2020. Marvelโ€™s Avengers, which is being developed by Crystal Dynamics, has been postponed to September 4, 2020.
