UPDATE: Via a new report from GamesRadar, Capcom has confirmed that the Nemesis will not be able to enter designated safe rooms.
The GamesRadar article went on to mention that the save room mentioned in the OXM preview had a progress-saving typewriter in it but the room wasn’t one of the game’s designated safe areas. It appears there will be a few save locations in the game like the one mentioned in the OXM preview. The music will be a big indicator of which type of room you are in.

A new detail regarding Resident Evil 3 has been revealed.
According to Official Xbox Magazine #188, the Nemesis will be able to break into any of the safe rooms throughout the game (Something Mr. X wasn’t even able to do in the Resident Evil 2 remake last year). As a result, this makes an already terrifying game much more unpredictable.

There’s no doubt that the success of 2019’s Resident Evil 2 has had a significant influence on the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 3. Producer Peter Fabiano talked about some of that influence with Official
“The director looked at what they had done with the Tyrant in RE2, and was like, โWait a minute! Theyโve Nemesis-ified him!โ So it was like taking it that one step further โ we needed to make Nemesis ferocious and a real threat, and I think youโll feel that when you play the game.โ
Resident Evil 3 Won’t Have Live Selection
There’s a lot being added to the Resident Evil 3 remake but there’s also a big feature from the original version of the game that will be missing in the 2020 adaptation. Live Selection, which was a quick decision-making feature in the game. In a separate interview, this time with Gamespot, Fabiano explained why they took out Live Selection:
“So with this [remake], the director wanted to tell a consistent story with Jill, and how she and Carlos overcome Nemesis and eventually escape Raccoon City. We just wanted to keep it cohesive, so that you’ll have a singular, more consistent narrative throughout.”
