Infinity Ward has pulled Trios from Call Of Duty: Warzone…again. It’s rather surprising news considering that only three days ago, trios had been reintroduced into the battle royale mode. Following an outcry from the Call Of Duty community, Infinity Ward added the mode back. This was as well as adding a new quads mode.

So, yesterday as Infinity Ward revealed a new update, it appeared that trios had gone. In place of regular trios is a new trios mode. Called Scopes and Scatter Guns, the mode features snipers and shotguns only. As of right now, the following modes remain; Solos, Scopes and Scatter Guns and Quads.

Sadly, it isn’t just the game’s trio mode that’s been affected. There’s bad news for the multiplayer side of things. The developers removed the Deathmatch Domination mode and replaced it with Drop Zone mode. Killstreaks can be earned by holding the objective, while you can earn extra points for each player within the drop zone.

The 10v10 playlist, Stir Crazy has also been added. The playlist includes Cranked, Kill Confirmed, Domination, and Hardpoint. Furthermore, there is no small map playlist.

The third season to Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone is live now. The new season sees the return of operator Alex, Battle Pass unlockable), from 2019’s Modern Warfare reboot.

The season offers a selection of new 6v6 maps. These include the Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyah Incursion. Ground loot has been overhauled, there are new weapons, blueprints, modes, playlists and missions, as well as Quads in Warzone and Plunder, and Operator Threads.

Warzone currently boasts a fanbase of over 50 million players. The numbers have increased exponentially, (considering the lockdown restrictions imposed on the UK, it’s no surprise), in its first-month post-launch. From 6 million in just 24 hours, the battle royale mode soared to 15 million in just a matter of days, and on and on and on.
