Two tournaments pushed forward while the upcoming tournament on schedule for this weekend
The Apex Legends Global Series Online Tournaments (OT) #5 and #6 have been pushed forward one day, the new dates are May 2-3 and May 30-31 respectively. The next event, OT #4, will be held as scheduled on April 18-20. The tournaments will be streamed live on the Apex Legends Twitch and YouTube channel.
Respawn has seen viewership for its online tournaments triple in the past fourteen days as a part of its “Stay Home, Play Together” initiative. The Apex Legends Global Series tournaments were organized in December of 2019 and now average more than 600 professional teams including top contenders like TSM, Complexity, Team Liquid, Rogue, Luminosity Gaming, Gambit Esports, Natus Vincere, Virtus.pro, and North. The began its fourth season with a new character introduction earlier this year.

Apex Legends won the “Best Multiplayer Game” spot in last year’s Game Awards is currently averaging about 980,900 players. The free-to-play, Battle Royale game is designed for team-based competition and provides players with a dozen different characters from which to choose, each with their unique abilities to utilize in the arena. Communicating with between your 3-person squad and balancing all your skills and abilities is the key to the game.
