The PC version of Death Stranding has been delayed to July. Since it was originally slated for June 2, the title will see the light of day on July 14. It’ll be available via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Sadly, in these uncertain times, Death Stranding on PC joins a growing list of titles already pushed back indefinitely due to COVID-19. Recently, Iron Man VR and The Last Of Us Part II were postponed due to the pandemic.

In response to the delay, Kojima Productions put it down to the temporary closure of their studio. Plus, they want to allow for “more development time amidst the current work-from-home orders in place.”

The PC version of Death Stranding is set to include a new photo mode, as well as a high frame rate, and ultra-wide monitor support.

In a review of Death Stranding from The Nerd Stash, it reads: “Great writing needs great performances to sell it, and Death Stranding is bursting with talent”

Elsewhere, the review reads: “The writing is top-notch, and Death Stranding is great at throwing you a new piece of information just when you’re getting to that point.”

Recently, the announcement was made that the PC edition of Death Stranding would feature content from Half-Life. In the official teaser, Sam Bridges (The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus) is seen with a head valve in the back of his head. At another point, Bridges looks at himself in a reflection, sporting the head crab from Half-Life.

Because you know, why not?

For those who’ve not already seen the trailer, take a look at what happens when two giant titles come together.

For many fans of Hideo Kojima’s hit game, it must seem as if Death Stranding couldn’t become any more wacky and surreal. Well, it sort of just did.
