When a person hears the word “Nightvision“, something military-related may pop into their head. But Hoodust Enterprises, developers of their driving sim with the same name, are looking to change that. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take on a different road every time you got behind the wheel of your car?

Your experience in Nightvision is entirely unique, each time you boot up the game. Purported as an ‘arcade survival game,’ developers have simulated what it’s like to explore a desolate road at night. While you are on the road solo a fair amount of time, you can expect surprises around many corners. The slightest mistake may be the one and only that you make.

Roads in the game are procedurally generated, which means no two are ever alike. In the current version of the Nightvision demo, players can choose from a few versions of roads. Features of the demo include:

  • realistic driving on dangerous roads. Challenge yourself by racing against the clock.
  • with path designed by AI engine RoadGen, no two roads are ever alike
  • With no map or memorization, players will have to rely on skill alone

Features of Full Nightvision Title

Nightvision

Players will be pleased to know that the full version of Nightvision will contain a story mode. The audience will finally be privy as to why the drive is occurring in the first place. Looking to improve on what the demo allows players, the full version will have:

  • Endless Mode – enjoy a long Nightvision drive on the open night road, no challenges to complete
  • More weather types to challenge players
  • Less predictable roads
  • Story Mode: find out why the journey started

The Nightvision demo is available via Steam, Itch.io, Game Jolt, and Indie DB. The full game has a planned release for August 14th of this year. Will you be jumping behind the wheel this fall? Let us know in the comments.
