Watch Dogs: Legion showed off more story elements in today’s Xbox Games Showcase trailer called “Resistance”. In this third Watch Dogs title, the secret hacker group DedSec comes under fire after mysterious terrorist attacks devastated London and they are framed for it. Now as its latest member you have to rebuild DedSec and fight back the accusation and oppressive, opportunistic private armies off of the streets of London.
As it namesake, you can recruit and play as any random person you meet in Watch Dogs: Legion. Build a team of resistance with a huge range of characters to choose from, all with their own unique abilities — from a suave secret spy, brilliant hacker, football hooligan, to an inconspicuous old lady — and enhance their capabilities through unique outfits and gadgets. Not limited to but including Stealth Cloak, Spiderbot, Micro-Missile Launcher, and Electro Fist.
And while high-tech surveillance infrastructure has been scattered all over London, as a team of elite hackers you can manipulate them and make them do your bidding, ranging from hijacking combat drones, opening up locked locations with advanced security systems, to reconstruct past events using augmented reality, discover who is behind the terror attacks, and eventually free London from this new totalitarian regime.
You are not just fighting together in offline mode, you can also join forces with up to three friends in online multiplayer. Either simply freely exploring London’s many famous landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Camden, Piccadilly Circus, or the London Eye, take on special co-op missions, or participating in unique game modes together. Unfortunately through this Xbox Games Showcase trailer Ubisoft still hasn’t told us any more details regarding Watch Dogs: Legion‘s multiplayer missions or modes. How do you think about this trailer? Will you buy it when it launches on October 29, 2020? Tell us in the comments below.
