Young Justice is one of those superhero shows that appeal to both children and adults alike.
And after the conclusion of the show’s third season in 2019, fans have been eager for more -, and they’re getting it. Last year, on July 20, 2019, producer Greg Weisman confirmed that the show is getting a fourth season – Phantoms.
And understandably, fans are eager to know when they’re getting it – and, if they can’t get that, how is the show coming along?
Well, thanks to Greg Weisman himself on Twitter, we now have an answer. In response to a fan asking how many of the 23 written scripts were voiced, the cartoon veteran responded: “24 scripts done now. We’ve fully recorded 20 episodes. Partially recorded 3 more.”

It was previously thought that the season would have 23 scripts. However, a tweet written by Weisman on September 11 claimed that there were 26.
Yep! We announced it at San Diego ComicCon over a year ago. (The video should be online somewhere.) And we've been working on it ever since. Have 23 out of 26 scripts completed. #YoungJustice https://t.co/xsop02avs6

As of the time of writing, the exact release date for Young Justice; Phantoms is currently unknown. Previously, it’s been mentioned that the season is set to release in “Fall 2020″.
The cast reunited at DC FanDome to act out an exclusive audio-play on Saturday 13. This audio play is canon to the show and set between seasons 3 and 4, according to Greg Weisman. The events that occur in said audio play into those of Season 4.
The fourth season was announced earlier this month, on September 12. Originally, Phantoms was slated to appear on the DC Universe. However, with the latter becoming a comics-only platform, the show will instead air on HBO Max.
Young Justice is loved by fans and critics alike. In 2011, IGN included the show in its Top 25 Comic Book Shows of All Time at number 20. It’s been described as being “mature, intelligent… struck an emotional chord with viewers… incredible”.
