Ever since its announcement, Watch Dogs Legion has been an interesting title for Ubisoft. Instead of just playing as one single protagonist, you’ll be able to play as any character in Watch Dogs Legion from super spies to construction workers to even very violent old ladies.

So, does the game’s gimmick add something fresh to the franchise? Or is it a half-baked idea? Critics around the gaming world have put out their reviews answering just that. Let’s take a look at some scores for Watch Dogs Legion:

  • IGN’s Dan Stapleton – 8/10
  • GamesRadar’s Alex Avard – 3.5/5
  • Gamespot’s Alessandro Fillari – 8/10
  • VG 24/7’s Lauren Aitken – 3/5
  • GameInformer’s Marcus Stewart – 9/10
  • VGC’s Andy Robinson – 5/5
  • PCGamer’s Christopher Livingston – 80/100
  • TheGamer’s Kirk McKeand – 3.5/5
  • GameRant’s Derek Nichols – 4/5
  • VideoGamer’s Josh Wise – 5/10
  • TrustedReviews’ Jade King – 3.5/5
  • PCGamesN’s Dustin Bailey – 7/10
  • Attack Of The Fanboy’s Diego Perez – 3.5/5
  • XboxAchievement’s Richard Walker – 60/100
  • Arstechnica’s Kyle Orland – “The Verdict: Try it.”

Although there are some mixed reviews, it seems like Watch Dogs Legion is reviewing pretty well so far.

Luckily, anyone who plans to pick up the game won’t have to wait long to share their own impressions. Watch Dogs Legion is set to release on October 29th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC (Epic Games Store Launcher and Ubisoft Connect). The next-gen launch is a little more tricky. For Xbox Series X/S, you can pick up the game on November 10th. Those who are buying it on PlayStation 5 will be able to pick up a digital copy on November 12th and PS5 physical copies will be available on November 24th. Finally, you’ll be able to upgrade your game to the next-gen version at no additional cost, regardless of the console you play it on.
