We’ve got plenty of RPGs at this point, including some that truly captivate audiences. We’ve seen games like The Witcher 3 dominate the genre, with Cyberpunk 2077 and many others gracing our hands very soon. It’s a great time to be an RPG fan, but I don’t think many have quite gone this direction yet. Haven, an RPG telling a story of love and togetherness, has been in development for some time. That development will soon be over though. Haven releases on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on December 3.ย  You can check out the latest trailer below.

Haven - Story trailer - Can love conquer all?

Haven follows the story of couple Yu and Kay, who abandoned their home with the desire to stay together. Those back home aren’t very approving of their relationship, so the duo has taken their situation into their own hands. On this new eerie and unstable planet, the two must take care of each other and handle the local wildlife as they live off the land. With so much at stake here, will it be worth sacrificing everything to ensure they can stay together?

The game seeks to tell a story similar to those in dystopian novels, only in an RPG with a fresh artistic style. Everything’s rendered in a style similar to that of Breath of the Wild but has its own unique take that sets it apart. The story of Haven also takes a more mature approach, focusing on love in its deepest form. This makes it perfect for those who enjoy a rich and thoughtful story, which is elevated by the ability to play co-op. Both you and a special someone could play this game together, bonding over their adventures and closeness in a quest you’ll feel a part of.

Haven will be available on December 3 for the aforementioned consoles. It will also be on Nintendo Switch and PS4 in the first quarter of 2021. Will you be looking to play through the emotional story of Haven? Have a special someone you plan to experience it with? Let me know in the comments below!
