Halo has long stood as a staple of the gaming world. Whenever you think Xbox (or games period) the Halo series is one of the first to come to mind. Or at least, that’s the case for myself and those around me. Eight years ago, 343 Industries took the reigns of the series and have developed it into something bigger. Whether you believe they’ve done a good or poor job, the series has continued on these eight years, especially with the series coming to PC. Today, the last of that collection comes to PC finally. Halo 4 is now available on PC through the Master Chief Collection. There are also enhancements for owners of the Xbox Series X/S, letting next-gen users experience the game in a whole new way. You can check out the game’s PC launch trailer below.

Halo 4 PC Launch Trailer - The Master Chief Collection

Halo 4 sees the Master Chief’s return, tasked with taking on an ancient evil that seeks to wipe out humanity. After the ship he left on, the Forward Unto Dawn crashes on a mysterious planet, he and Cortana face evils never seen before in the Halo games. This is one of the most gripping stories to date, seeing Cortana and the Master Chief being brought to their limit. Do they have what it takes to defeat this evil?

This is the first time PC users get to experience Halo 4 and the full Master Chief Collection. They’ve been getting a steady stream of titles for a good while now, so it’s good to see that journey over. The team promises that it’ll still receive consistent updates though, so the journey isn’t over yet. As for Xbox users though, your Xbox Series X/S console sees huge improvements in look and performance. Halo 4 now sports 120 FPS in Campaign and Multiplayer, along with 4K resolution for Xbox Series X owners. Series S owners will have to stick with 1080p, which still makes the game stunningly beautiful even 8 years later.

If you’re excited about playing Halo 4, be sure to let me know in the comments below. Halo 4 is available on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
