Among us has quickly become one of the most popular indie games of the year. Due to its focus on conversational deducing, it’s no wonder the game has blown up over quarantine. Being able to drop into a lobby very easily with people playing in your region. Released 2 years ago, in June of 2018, the title seemingly launched with less fanfare and appraise it has now. Thanks to streamers of all kinds and even recent vote campaigns, InnerSloth’s title has become one of many sleeper indie game hits of all time. Since the game’s popularity shot up in the past several months, InnerSloth has finally created a Twitter page to chronicle the updates and development history of Among Us. Today, the team at InnerSloth announced a new map coming to the game in a later update.

While the screenshot posted doesn’t exactly appear to showcase the layout, we do get a sneak peek at one of the rooms. More specifically, this room appears to be at the front of the ship, with the window indicating it to be the bridge. We can see where there might be navigation, download, upload, and power task nodes. There’s even a vent in the middle front side of the room. Taking the same properties as the other maps and placing them in their respective rooms helps keep the games feel the same over multiple maps for consistency in becoming a more observant player. While the details on when this update is set to launch are a little fuzzy, the team did tease more details to come on December 10th, the night of The Game Awards. Considering InnerSloths cancelation of Among Us 2 almost two months ago, fans might not have to wait for much longer. Simultaneously, the team has also been working on other additions like colorblind mode and anonymous voting present in the October beta. Among Us is now available on both IOS and Android phones with a Steam release for PC.
