After a COVID-induced pause in production, Stranger Things season 4 is back in full swing once again. All the usual faces will return, but today, thanks to the Stranger Things Twitter page, a whole host of new cast additions have been announced, including Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund.
Robert Englund will play Victor Creel, a disturbed man who is locked up in a psychiatric hospital for a murder he committed in the 1950s. Thanks to A Nightmare On Elm Street Englund is an 80s legend and should fit into the Stranger Things world nicely. He’ll have some competition for our admiration though. Also joining are Game of Thrones alum Tom Wlaschiha, and Jamie Campbell Bower of Twilight fame.
Campbell Bower will play a caring orderly at the hospital, who may finally take a stand after witnessing brutality day after day. Wlaschiha will play a smart, and charming Russian guard by the name of Dimitri, who may or may not be trusted.
The new additions in their entirety can be seen over on the Twitter page, and there are quite a few. Some of the other characters announced for Stranger Things include a stoner friend for Jonathan, a Colonel with ideas to stop the evil in Hawkins, an athlete, a smuggler with a love of peanut butter, and the head of Hawkins High D&D club.
Seems as if there is plenty to look forward to when Stranger Things season 4 finally drops, and, after being announced in September 2019, that just can’t come quickly enough. Hopefully, it’ll be everything we all crave, and we’ll see a heartfelt reunion between Hopper and Eleven. Let me know your thoughts on these new additions in the comments, and be sure to tell me any crazy Stranger Things theories you may have. It’s always fun to guess as we patiently await its return to Netflix.
