Crackdown 3 finally gets a proper trailer with in game footage of street to street carnage. From transforming cars to mech-like boss battles, Crackdown 3 wants to make the best destructible playground around.

The trailer below is out first look into the superhuman, carnage fueled world of Crackdown 3.

Crackdown, developed by Realtime Worlds, was one of the most underrated games of the last console cycle. Players were initially looking for the Halo 3 beta codes that came loaded onto the game, but once gamers were shown how much fun superhuman powers in an open-world game can be, they never looked back.

Crackdown 3 was announced at E3 2014 as an Xbox One exclusive. Until now, only some information has been released on what Crackdown 3 will bring to change the game, and that change is 100% destructible environments. Footage shows, in a controlled state, that yes, things are destructible and what that will do for the gameplay. Yet, these types of promises can only be taken seriously after gamers get their hands on the final copy. Another promise that has potential to be huge is Microsoft’s cloud computing feature which was helped developed  by Dave Jones, one of the original members of the Crackdown team.

What the Microsoft cloud does is enhance frame rates, physics, shaders, etc… by hosting games through a series of super powerful servers. This will take some load off of the console and put it into the computational cloud. This will have major repercussions for the online functionality of Crackdown 3 which, if all things go as planned, will include the fully destructible environments mentioned in the video above.

Do you believe that everything in Crackdown 3 will be destructible? Are you looking forward to once again jump from skyscraper to skyscraper in search of crime?
