A long time ago in a video game generation far, far away, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic was released to the masses. Met with critical acclaim, it prompted the rise for a sequel, entitled The Sith Lords. The two games have received quite a following after all these years, while also appearing on many “best of” lists from various sources. Given these points, Knights of the Old Republic was treated with a mobile port for iOS and Andriod in 2013 and 2014, respectively. Now, the time has come for The Sith Lords to invade the mobile gaming department.

The Sith Lords, Optimized for Mobile Play

Way back in 2004, Obsidian Entertainment took charge of developing the sequel to BioWare‘s 2003 award-winning role-playing game. It continued the narrative by placing the protagonist in a galactic conflict with the Sith as they aim to exterminate the Jedi. In The Sith Lords, it is up to you to follow the light of the Jedi or fall into the enticing nature of the Dark Side. In addition, the moral choices you commit to will have an impact on those around you, including Kreia, Hanharr, T3-M4, and HK-47.

The mobile announcement comes with a trailer that briefly showcases some footage from the game. Although you only get to see some action unfold with some intense dialogue alongside it, the port is optimized for mobile play with touch screen controls.

The Sith Lords was brought to the mobile world thanks to the publishing team over at Aspyr. Elizabeth Howard, vice president of publishing at Aspyr, shared the news of her excitement:

Fans have been asking for a mobile version ofย Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II for so long, and weโ€™re thrilled to finally bring it to them. Weโ€™re proud to continue working with Lucasfilm to bring classic titles likeย Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II to modern platforms”

Star Wars: Knights confrontation

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II – The Sith Lords will be available on December 18 for both iOS and Android for $14.99 USD. Pre-orders are now live through the AppStore and Google Play.
