This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information.

For the first time since Banjo-Kazooie released on the N64 back in 1998 Rare has taken the top spot in the UK chart, Banjo-Kazooie is one of the titles included in Rare’s Xbox One exclusive Rare Replay.

This comes as no surprise as the retail price of this monster bundle is only £19.99 and includes 30 games on one disk with a mind bending 10000 gamerscore, included on this disk are such classics as Banjo-Kazooie itself as well as Banjo-Tooie and the sequel Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts.

Also included is Conkers Bad Fur Day, Battletoads, Perfect Dark, Kamoe, Killer Instinct Gold Edition and My personal favourite Viva Piñata as well as the follow up to that wildly successful release Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise.

Crazy Bargain if you ask me.

Following massively popular rating on Metacritic Rare Replay currently sits at an average of 85/100 from its 43 reviews as of writing, no easy feat in this day an age but considering this bundle includes over 30 years of gaming nostalgia it never was going to be hammered with bad reviews, even the asking price is insanely low considering at one point in their lives these games retailed at the highest value on the market, myself paying £40 plus for both Viva Piñata games.

Another success story with this title is it’s Xbox One’s first exclusive chart topper to date, Titanfall topped the charts when it was released but it was simultaneously released along side PC so this is another successful move in the right direction from Microsoft.

I picked this amazing game up with all the DLC for £10.00, another Bargain.

The rest of the chart is build up with the usual suspects, Batman: Arkham Knight, GTA V and Minecraft.

Listed below are the Top 10 then in order, for the rest of the chart take a look at this link.

  1. Rare Replay.
  2. Lego Jurassic World.
  3. Batman: Arkham Knight.
  4. The Elder Scrolls Online.
  5. Grand Theft Auto V.
  6. Fifa 15.
  7. Battlefield Hardline.
  8. Rory Mcilroy PGA Tour.
  9. F1 2015.
  10. Minecraft: Xbox Edition.

What do you think of this deal?

Is Microsoft on the bounce back?

19.99 is more than a bargain for one next gen game, so who’s up for some next gen Viva Piñata, I know I sure am.
