About the Mouse:
Shell:
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste Gaming mouse is made with a honeycomb shell and, weighing 59 grams, is very light-weight. However, it still feels and appears to be very durable and has good ventilation and airflow.
One question that comes to mind is what happens if you get crumbs in the holes? How will you clean it? It’s not a huge concern but if that is something that would bother you, it’s something to consider.
I would also like to note, I am right-handed, however, the mouse is made with a minimal amount of curves that a left-handed person would most likely be able to use it comfortably.
Buttons:
This gaming mouse has six buttons (the two main right and left click buttons, two buttons on the sides a button behind the scroll wheel and the scroll wheel acts as a button).
The Mouse buttons are made with a split-button design that is meant to give you the entire button consistent feel no matter where you click and it is also supposed to help the mouse detect both light and heavy clicks.
For the most part, I feel they achieved this goal with the HyperX Pulsefire Haste Gaming Mouse.
Cable:
The HyperFlex USB Cable, made of light paracord material, has a great amount of flexibility as well as minimal tension and resistance.
The cable may not seem like a “deal-breaker” for some, it is a definite consideration for others. Haven’t you experienced the mouse cable that won’t go away?
Switches:
The TTC Golden micro dustproof switches are designed to make sure you hear the clicks which may not be important to everyone, however, some people do not need the satisfaction of hearing the clicks.
The switches also have an anti-dust coating and are rated for up to 60 million clicks!
Skates:
The pure virgin-grade 100% PTFE skates provided very little friction and I could easily slide the mouse and extra skates are provided if they get too worn.
Grip Tape
Grip tape is provided if you are someone that needs a little more “grip” and the tape is designed to be placed on the side of the mouse and both left and right mouse buttons.
Software:
The HyperX NGENUITY software made it easy to set up the DPI settings, assign buttons, record macros and customize the RGB lighting
Pricing:
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste Gaming Mouse is priced affordably at $49.99 and can be purchased anywhere computer accessories are sold.
HyperX Pulsefire Haste Gaming Mouse Verdict
The HyperX Pulsefire Haste is a great option for the person who wants an affordable gaming mouse that is lightweight, yet durable. One might argue the durability of this mouse, however, I found it to be as sturdy as those with a solid shell.
In addition to the solid design, the ease of movement is another great feature. The only thing that could have made this a better product is more options with the RGB lighting.
Overall, this is a solid choice!
