Life Is Strange: True Colors Announced for September

Up until now, fans of the Life is Strange series have had to wait for each episode to come out to get the next chapter of the series that started all the way back in 2015. Now though, Square Enix and Deck Nine Games, the developers behind Life is Strange: Before the Storm, have announced – via a live stream showcase – the newest entry in the series – called True Colors – and it’s all there from the very start.

In Life is Strange: True Colors, you will visit Haven Springs, home of new protagonist Alex Chen (played by Erika Mori), and her supernatural ability. Her “empathy” ability allows Alex to see the emotions of others via visible auras, and you’ll be able to experience, absorb and manipulate these emotions to suit your needs, one of those being getting to the bottom of a town-wide mystery surrounding the suspicious “accidental” death of her brother.

The soundtrack will feature new tracks by mxmtoon and Novo Amor, and will also feature songs from Radiohead, Phoebe Bridgers, Gabrielle Aplin, and more.

Also announced during the live stream was Life is Strange Remastered, which contains all the episodes from the original Life is Strange, and Before the Storm, that will be included in True Colors‘s ultimate edition – it will be available as a standalone purchase later down the line.

Life is Strange: True Colors will release on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, Windows Store, and Google Stadia on September 10, 2021.
