Thymesia is a Souls-like action-RPG that is slashing its way onto consoles. Many games have their hero wield magic. Others have their character slash enemies with swords and a dagger. But what if you could wield disease as if you would a blade? That’s the question this title from OverBorder Studio answers.
Thymesia Game and Features
The world of Thymesia suffers under the constant threat of a plague. As Corvus, one must navigate this world and wield both swords and diseases as weapons. Here are some key features of this action RPG:
- Weaponizing Disease – Corvus can take diseases from others and turn them deadly for just the enemies.
- Engaging Combat – true to its ‘Souls-like’ label, melee combat is not simple. One must employ dodging and proper striking. And only by parrying at the right moment can you gain the upper hand mid-fight.
- A Gloomy and Death-dealing World – despite the appearance, it is a world of spirit and mystique, full of character
- Ruthless Foes – enemies are twisted by plague, mutating into awful monsters. These are not that will simply give up the chase. Ready your sword and ready for a fight when you catch sight.
- Replayability – didn’t like your Corvus build the first run? Try and different one and see if it gets you further. In addition to trying a new build, you might also get a different ending. Your playthrough will not be the same as your friend’s.
- Broken Memories – combined with varying choices, finding these memories are what will change the game’s ending.
- Weapon Upgrades – the basic movement set of Corvus can be altered. One can also customize the collected disease weapons.
The title will be available this year on December 31st for PC. And will be published by Team17.
