Genshin Impact fans have a lot to look forward to, as an upcoming broadcast will provide a significant look at how Genshin Impact Version 2.0 is coming along. We don’t yet know what will be shown at the event, but publisher miHoYo is consistent about keeping their players apprised. Any formal broadcast is likely to offer plenty of information, including a more extensive look at the anticipated Inazuma region.

When and Where to Watch Genshin Impact 2.0 Broadcast

The Genshin Impact Version 2.0 presentation will begin on July 9th at 9 pm JST/5 am PT/8 am ET, and you can tune in live via miHoYo’s official Twitch channel. I tend to prefer YouTube over Twitch, personally, but at least an archive of the event will be available on YouTube the following day.

Eagle-eyed Genshin Impact enthusiasts may already be aware of the fact that alleged leaks have been circulating across the internet over the past few days. We try to refrain from paying too much heed to rumors; rumor mill websites are a dime-a-dozen and often far from trustworthy. But sometimes, an insider’s track record proves solid enough to be worth the nod.

Possible Version 2.0 Spoilers?

Take this with a grain of salt, then, but the claim being made by the aptly self-titled “Genshin Insider” is that the highly-anticipated Inazuma region will launch with three islands (out of a total of six) to explore. The remaining three islands would then release between the remainder of 2021 and 2022 — again if this is true.

Regardless of the validity of that claim, Genshin Impact Version 2.0 is unlikely to disappoint. miHoYo has done a solid job thus far improving the game’s content and variability in meaningful ways, such as providing player housing back in late April.

Genshin Impact Version 2.0 Inazuma Kazuha Character

A Swordsman from Inazuma

Most recently, Genshin Impact has added the limited-time character Kazuha to the roster of collectible heroes. Important side note here: Kazuha hails from the Inazuma region. Odds are, he’ll factor fairly heavily into the proceedings once players arrive at the scene. You’ve got until July 21st to nab Kazuha.

Genshin Impact is available now on PS4, PS5, PC, Android, and iOS. Those who’d prefer to play on Nintendo Switch will simply need to keep waiting for the time being; a Switch version is in development with an as-yet-unannounced release date.
