An Alan Wake Remastered leak suggests that the game might be released in October. Twitter user Wario64 has got a solid track record when it comes to digging up leaks and info. Back in June, they had found an Epic Games Store listing for Final Fantasy VII Remake, as well as one for Alan Wake Remastered. Just yesterday, Wario64 has found some additional information regarding Alan Wake Remastered‘s potential release date. The leak comes from Rakuten Taiwan, which has listed the game for an October 5 release on its website.

Since then, Rakuten Taiwan has taken the listings down, so clicking on those links doesn’t really lead you anywhere now.

Alan Wake Remastered Release: Announced During The PlayStation Showcase?

Gaming industry insider Daniel Ahmad has contributed to Wario64’s Tweet by stating “Will be announced next week”. Not only does that reinforce the leak’s credibility, but it also pretty much confirms it if you know what’s happening next week.

Indeed, Sony had already announced that there is going to be the 2021 PlayStation Showcase – their very own version of an E3 showing. With the Rakuten Taiwan listings having mentioned a PS5 version and knowing the showcase will be mostly dedicated to that console, we’ll likely see an announcement for Alan Wake Remastered on Sony’s latest hardware.

This only serves to add to the excitement surrounding Sony’s upcoming showcase. Additional information regarding Horizon Forbidden West and God Of War: Ragnarok is expected to drop as well – with, hopefully, a gameplay demo for the latter. Besides those two heavy hitters, there have been some rumors regarding the possibility of Sony unveiling a remaster for Bloodborne. This is probably a rumor you’re tired of hearing by now… But, hey, it’s Bloodborne we’re talking about.

Until then, we’ll be on the lookout for any further leaks that might pop up surrounding Alan Wake Remastered. October isn’t too far away anyway.
