Nintendo of America has revealed that over 1-million copies of Super Mario Maker have been sold. Slow Wii U sales and market? Maybe not so much. On their Twitter earlier on September 30th, Nintendo proudly displayed the image below:

Mario Maker 1 Mill

The massive numbers don’t stop there though. They also mention that 2.2 million levels/stages have been create in the game as well, along with almost 75 million play through of those created courses. All impressive worldwide numbers considering the game’s short lifespan so far and the lower sales numbers for the Wii U overall.

Cant’t get enough of Super Mario Maker? Head on over to the Nintendo eShop and grab the cool Mario Maker level that’s now available. The stage will shift and change as the battle rages on, keeping things fairly unpredictable and making players shift their strategies.

Mario Maker on Smash Bros

While there have been many iterations of classic Nintendo levels and tie-ins throughout Super Mario Maker, this is a neat way for Nintendo to link the worlds together and encourage you to get that Wii U pad out and create. Super Mario Maker has been a hit, are you one of the million players? Have you created levels of your own? Let us know!
