Humble Bundle has been something of a go to for gamers with a budget, and now it’s launching something new. The Humble Monthly Bundle is a subscription service that delivers bundles to customers for $12 a month. Humble is pitching this service as a bit of an opportunity for gamers to get games they might not have picked up otherwise.
“PC games delivered digitally to you in a monthly subscription bundle,” the announcement page reads. “Join for a new slate of games every month. Every bundle you get is yours to keep.” Humble is promising both “hidden gems” and “timeless classics.”
The first monthly bundle won’t unlock until November 6, but subscribing now earns you a copy of the very good Legends of Grimrock 2. I feel that the sentiment is genuine and that it will be something fairly exciting to get my teeth sunk into, and for the price; nobody could complain. The only downside is that it’s a complete mystery as to which games you’ll get, since I very much doubt you’ll get to browse the titles before opting out of the program. But, if you’re a gambler, then I’d back this all the way, since Humble has been a great source of games for a few years now.
Currently, this months Humble Bundle contains Sir, You are being hunted, Qube, Goodbye Deponia, Skullgirls, Planetary Annihilation and Xenonauts. Seems a bargain at $7.05. Personally, I’m having to save my cash for the big release this month, which I’m sure you don’t need me to mention, since it’s getting all the press coverage in the world right now.
