“E-Sports has been developing rapidly for past few years and we want to establish more professional connection between top teams and big e-sports tournament & leagues organizers” Alexander says in his letter. Teams will being holding event organizers and contributors to the listed standards January 1, 2016.

The team union has the support of multiple big name teams and organizations within the industry such as Team Liquid, Cloud9, Team SoloMid, Counter Logic Gaming, Fnatic, Na’vi and NiP to name a few.

Kokhanovskyy’s letter addresses issues that have plagued Esports since the beginning. A minimum prize money for Dota 2 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive respectively, how travel support is to be handled, how teams and organizations will promote events and additional specifics unique to Dota 2 and CS:GO respectively.

Interestingly, the letter only addresses Dota 2 and Counter Strike events, excluding League of Legends. Most likely due to LoL having a regulated league ran entirely by developer Riot Games. Despite Riot’s best efforts to create a healthy Esports environment for their game, teams and organizations have expressed the need for a player’s union.
