The newest DLC for Graveyard Keeper, Better Save Soul, was just released on October 27. With the new DLC comes new NPCs, machines, and a new questline for you to explore on your journey to make it back home to your old world. The DLC also adds more customization options to your home that you can build. Some customization options and one of the tasks in the main questline all require oil for you to retrieve. By the end of this guide, you will learn how to get oil in Graveyard Keeper.

How to Get Oil

Graveyard Keeper How to Get Oil

There are two types of oil in Graveyard Keeper. The first, which you need early on in the Better Save Soul questline, is seed oil. The second type is regular oil, which you need to craft paint and cook certain foods.

There are two methods to obtaining seed oil. The easiest way is by buying seed oil from Dig. He is located west of the Dead Horse Inn. If you travel along the stone path west of the inn and reach the three-way intersection, continue going west down the dirt road. You will find Dig south of this road. If you also have the Stranger Sins DLC, you will discover Dig south of the Talking Skull bar. Once you interact with Dig, you can buy the seed oil from him. The cost will scale as you buy more bottles, but the default price is 30 bronze coins. The second method is by creating your own at a vine press. You will need four hemp seeds to produce one bottle of seed oil. You can buy hemp seeds from Dig.

There are two ways to obtain regular oil. If you already have seed oil, the first method is by using the seed oil in your inventory menu. One bottle of seed oil will yield ten units of oil. Alternatively, you can get oil from a vine press using three fat. You can obtain fat from the bodies that Donkey brings you.

Graveyard Keeper is available on Android, iOS, PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
