Before trudging across the frozen lake to reach this area, knowing your reward for defeating the boss within is essential. This guide will explain to players what is hidden in the Lord Contender’s Evergaol in Elden Ring.
What is Hidden in the Lord Contender’s Evergaol in Elden Ring?
To find what is within the Lord Contender’s Evergaol, you must first know how to reach it. Starting from the first Church of Marika Site of Grace, you will need to head northwest towards the nearby cliff face. You will find a Spiritspring that you can use to jump up onto the top of this cliff. This is where you will find the Evergaol. Inside the Evergaol, you will battle Roundtable Knight Vyke, who can also be found at the Church of Inhibition in Liurnia of the Lakes as an invading NPC Festering Finger Vyke.

Upon defeating Vyke inside the Evergaol, he will drop his armor set, the Fingerprint armor, as well as an incantation known as Vyke’s Dragonbolt. The Fingerprint armor is a good set of gear, retaining a lightweight and decent amount of poise at a total of 40 with the entire set on. Not the best at tanking damage but a good look and strong enough to take a hit or two while you dodge. The more interesting item you get is Vyke’s Dragonbolt, an incantation that requires 24 Faith to cast. The ability will place a lightning buff on your weapon while also increasing your max equipment load, with the one trade-off being that you will be more susceptible to lightning damage. Vyke will use this ability in the Evergaol encounter, so you will get a look at it before you get to use it yourself.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
