Good, news for fans ofย The Last of Us and theย Uncharted franchise! Naughty Dog is expected to release more titles for the current generation of consoles.
In an interview with Finder.com, Naughty Dog Community Strategist Arne Meyer announced “at least one, maybe two games” will be released, and left the door for more titles.
Here’s what Meyer had to say regarding Naughty Dog’s future plans:
“Iโm sure thereโs some big master plan somewhere, in terms of what the cycles are. We usually find out about the new hardware once theyโre actually ready to give us development kits even if theyโre early. We donโt know ahead of time when that cycle ends, we just have to focus on making the best game we can on the hardware we do have.
“I mean I have no doubt โ I donโt know what the timelines are โ but we have at least one, maybe two games left in the console generation, maybe more. Clearly we can release a game really late in a console generation and do well, right?”
Naughty Dog has a pedigree of producing quality titles for over 30 years, but many of us are familiar with games they released over the pastย two decades. Gamers are familiar with titles likeย Crash Bandicoot, the iconic PlayStation series, andย Jak and Daxter.
