Dark Horse Comics has announced the continuation of the Parasomnia series. The upcoming Parasomnia: The Dreaming God will move the series from Lovecraft horror to the world of cyberpunk. The series, from Cullen Bunn and Andrea Mutti, will follow the nameless protagonist as he searches for his missing son. It will hit shelves from the publisher in August.

What Will This New Parasomnia Series Be About?

This new series from the comic giant will continue the nightmare introduced in Parasomnia. Cullen Bunn, known for Harrow County and Manor Black, will write this new series. Meanwhile, Andrea Mutti of The British Paranormal Society fame will handle the art. Letterer Simon Bowland joins them to bring this new tale to life.

A quick press release from Dark Horse for the series offers some clues about what readers can expect. According to the synopsis, as the hunt for his missing son continues, the protagonist will shift worlds. They will move from the nightmare of the Lovecraftian into the dreamscape of a cyberpunk metropolis. Meanwhile, a ruthless cult continues their pursuit as fantasy and reality blur.

What Does The Creative Team Have To Say?

Cullen Bunn shared a little on why the Parasomnia: The Dreaming God will shift worlds. He says that, while working on the original series, it soon became clear that two worlds couldn’t contain the story. After all, dreams change, and this new series will showcase the potential of dreams and nightmares. It will surely keep you guessing till the very end.

Meanwhile, Andrea Mutti enjoyed the limitless possibilities of Parasomnia. There is no world that cannot be created in this series, and there are no impossible situations. Mutti is excited at the possibility of being able to create anything you can imagine. It is truly a journey through the unforgettable and extraordinary.
