Fans of CWTV’sย The Flash has seen the emergence of Earth-2 characters coming into the show’s current setting (Earth-1). Series star Grant Gustin, who plays Barry Allen, told Entertainment Weekly that an Earth-2 rescue may be in the show’s future.

In last week’s episode ofย The Flash, we saw Barry in not-so-great shape. Despite having accelerated healing, Barry suffered an injury that will force him to use his mind instead of his body for the foreseeable future. Zoom is an enemy that Flash has never encountered before: more brutal than the Reverse-Flash and admittedly more creepy in the mask department.
But rest assured, The Flash will find his way to Earth-2.
โIt sounds like weโre going to be making an Earth-2 trip in the future at some point this season,” Gustin told EW. “I donโt know which characters are going to be going. Iโm pretty sure Barry will be one of them. I donโt know if weโre going to see his doppelgรคnger when we go over there. Iโd imagine we would.”
This season, fans learned that Earth-2 Harrison Wells (played by Tom Cavanagh) has a daughter that was kidnapped by Zoom. The kidnapping took place after she learned that her father was behind the accident with Star Labs’ particle accelerator. The accident led to the emergence of metahumans — many of whom were sent by Zoom to kill the Flash in Earth-1 — and a confrontation between Wells and the Earth-2’s Flash (played by Teddy Sears).
A visit to Earth-2 opens up the possibility of seeing Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker)’s evil counterpart Killer Frost and Jesse Chambers (Violett Beane), who also goes by the name of Jesse Quick in the comics. Will we be seeing more speedsters in the future?
