A disturbing interaction took place in Texas, where a White woman was filmed telling a Black shopper inside an Albertsons store that the KKK is coming, drawing widespread backlash online. The Black woman later shared a video of the confrontation. In her caption, she explained that she was with her eight-year-old daughter at the time. She also stated that the other woman approached her while she was checking out, and that they had no prior interaction before the incident.
In the video, the Black woman is heard asking for security, warning that she might fight the other woman over what was being said. The White woman then can be heard repeating, “The KKK is coming.” As the situation escalates, the woman being targeted tells her to “go about your business” as she approaches. Instead of stepping away, the other woman responds by saying, “You are Black,” which she appeared to offer as justification for her behavior.
The situation then escalated further, as the White woman continued using racist language, telling the other shopper to “get your Black [expletive] out of my face.” And saying, “Get that Black [expletive] out of my face.” Moments later, the video becomes unclear, suggesting the confrontation may have turned physical. Although the camera view is obstructed, the argument can still be heard continuing in the background.
The argument continued with both women still yelling at each other. The woman being targeted repeatedly told the other to “go on about your business.” As tensions rose, she appeared to challenge the White woman to escalate the situation, saying, “I will show you a good time, [expletive],” and later adding, “I will show you a KKK,” as the confrontation grew more intense.
An individual then approached the Black woman and, after hearing what happened, advised her to “let it go.” She made it clear she did not agree with that response. She also expressed frustration that the staff had not escorted the other woman out after the remarks. Before leaving the store with her daughter, she added that the situation could have escalated further if her child had not been with her.
Outrage After the Racist Incident in Texas
The video sparked reactions online. Many viewers expressed outrage over the incident at the Albertsons in Texas and strongly criticized the White woman’s behavior. “Racism is a a form of mental illness, these people are just psychos,” one person wrote. Others reacted more intensely, with some suggesting the situation should have turned physical. One commenter said, “I’m really surprised that this sista didn’t go head up with this nut-nut psycho bigot… I know this Karen was nothing but talk… and how the store just let her keep talking and threatening folks kick her [expletive] out and call 50.”
Others expressed shock at what unfolded and criticized how the situation was handled. “The KKK is literally a terrorist organization. The ww threatened her and her daughter’s life. Uh that’s assault. Security talking about let it go as if the ww didn’t commit a crime in the middle of the store,” one person wrote. Another added, “Exactly! When she said ‘get security’ I wish she would’ve also called the police. Don’t engage. ‘She’s threatening me. Escort me to my car safely away from this violence. Yes, I’m pressing charges.’”
The video sparked widespread outrage online. Many viewers pointed to it as an example of the kind of racism Black individuals may encounter in everyday situations.
