In Diablo Immortal, there are various equipment and items that you can use to buff up your characters, like in other titles, as well as other loot-based action RPGs. This time, we will explain how you can use and unlock the Legacy of the Horadrim Vessels that are extremely important for your Diablo Immortal endgame builds.
Legacy of the Horadrim Vessel in Diablo Immortal Explained
The Legacy of the Horadrim Vessels is part of the Iben Fahd’s Sanctum Shrine system that lets you gain permanent boosts to your character’s non-primary attributes:
- Life
- Damage
- Armor
- Armor Penetration
- Resistance
- And Potency
As mentioned above, you can find the Shrine for the Legacy of the Horadrim Vessels inside the Iben Fahd’s Sanctum in Westmarch. In the Shrine, you can place and upgrade Vessels to receive permanent bonuses and get hints to where to find the others. Each Vessel will be found as a drop from various bosses in different areas and give you different stat buffs as well.
Unlike Helliquary Trophies, however, there is no limit on how many Vessels you can have active. With that in mind, in theory, you can collect and upgrade them all to gain the maximum amount of buffs for your characters. But of course, the grind won’t be a cakewalk, and you should prioritize the few buffs you need first instead of straight-up trying to balance them all out.

Here’s what you need to do to unlock Legacy of the Horadrim Vessel and Iben Fahd’s Sanctum:
- Complete Challenge Rift Level 10. Doing this will also give you your very first Vessel, Caldesann’s Compassion.
- Get your character to level 49.
- Start the “Legacy of the Horadrim” Quest and complete it to unlock Iben Fahd’s Sanctum in Westmarch and the Shrine inside.
- If you’re stuck somewhere when doing the “Legacy of the Horadrim” Quest first, try completing Challenge Rift, then continue with the quest.
Now that you can use the Vessel, it’s time to upgrade them. First, you’ll need to collect Culling Stones — Beryls, Garnets, and Sapphires — from the Iben Fahd’s Sanctum Reward Chests. Each Culling Stone is used for different Vessels:
- Beryl: Guilt of the Nameless, Jered Cain’s Vision, and Nor Tiraj’s Knowledge
- Garnet: Nilfur’s Precision, Tal Rasha’s Authority, and Zoltun Kulle’s Ingenuity
- Sapphire: Caldensann’s Compassion and Iben Fahds’s Tenacity
There is always one free Sanctum Reward Chest you can open each day. If you need more (which you will), the “non-free” Reward Chests themselves can only be opened using an item called Aspirant’s Key, which you can get from:
- Sanctum mobs
- Hilt Merchant’s daily item
- Bought from Supplies and Trove Bundle in the in-game shop
- Opening a Blessed Chest from Elder Rifts when you have Daedessa’s Blessing
- Completing First Kill of the Day when the item is one of the rewards
- Leveling up your Battle Pass to certain Ranks
- Leveling up your PvP Rank
- Completing The Assembly Raid if you’re part of the Shadows
- Completing Kion’s Ordeal Raid if you’re part of the Immortals
After gathering the required materials, you can go to the Shrine to begin upgrading Vessels. It’s worth noting that the amount of Beryls, Garnets, or Sapphires required for each Vessel varies and that material costs rise substantially with each upgrade.
