Long-standing secret characters in Fire Emblem can be found, unlocked, and deployed throughout the game’s campaign. Three Hopes continues that tradition with a few strong, secret individuals that can be enlisted. Two of these unseen playable characters are Byleth and Jeralt, the protagonist of Three Houses and their father. This time though, they come in as the story’s villains, and players will have to confront their old characters and win. This guide will outline each step required to recruit Fire Emblem: Three Hopes’ Byleth and Jeralt.
Recruiting Byleth/Jeralt in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes
Players must first advance through the campaign to chapter 10 to start the search for Byleth and Jeralt. It does not matter if they reach this stage in either of the three distinct tale pathways, the Scarlet Blaze, Golden Wildfire, or Azure Gleam. During the chapter’s mission, the game will say that the choices in this fight will substantially affect the tale’s conclusion. That’s when you will know Byleth is near.
Play normally up until Byleth makes their appearance. Once they start getting up to you, turn around and get back to where you started the mission. Bring up the orders sub-menu while doing this, and send one of the party members to the opposite side of the starting stronghold. Arval will keep urging the player to confront Byleth. They should ignore him and keep regressing to the map’s beginning area.
A new covert mission will then arise in the place where you sent the party member. Before Byleth gets close to your character, beat the new foe that spawns on the opposite side of the base. Switch to the party member previously sent here and end the new enemy leader. This will finish the mission and let the heroes have a little conversation with the defeated enemies.

Players will recruit Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes’ Byleth and Jeralt after this side quest is done. You must restart the game anew and try again if you fight Byleth and don’t adhere to the guide appropriately.
Players should create a save file before the encounter, so load it up and try again until you do it right.
