If you remember, EA’s upcoming game, Skate 4 was leaked, and we saw the game’s playable version on pirate websites. Gamers weren’t sure about its origin. Some of them said that the leaked game was fake. Well, we weren’t sure about this, but finally, EA chose to make an announcement. They say you shouldn’t download or play the leaked Skate 4 build, and it’s also illegal. The build is spread, whatever EA says, and it’s not so hard to download.
The series’ latest game, Skate 3, was released in 2010, which makes 12 years. It wasn’t a big game but was good in its category. You can still watch the videos about this game, which means thousands still play it.
EA Made an Announcement About Leaked Skate 4 Build
With the announcement, we can confirm that the leaked Skate 4 is real. But there’s a catch, should you download it? Even if you’ve waited for the game for years? EA says it’s illegal to spread the build demo and play it too. The leaked build is an unauthorised distribution, which means that it will make you break the Terms of Service policy of Electronic Arts. A part of the announcement is here:
“This build is from September 2021 and was never intended for external use. While we understand you’re excited to get into the game, we encourage you to be careful when downloading files from unknown sources (and remind you of the potential consequences of breaking EA’s Terms of Service).”
Also, the sign-ups for the official playtest build are open. Developers are trying to forward people to play the official build. The unofficial playtest is spreading, and thousands of people are interested in it. Otherwise, downloading it is also an issue because the download sources aren’t trusted. There might be malware in the executable files.
Our advice is not to download the leaked build; you should always get the games from their source. There would be many security and privacy issues; even if they did not exist, playing the leaked playtest is illegal.
