Twitch and Bungie are two very popular companies in the gaming market today. While Twitch is a streaming platform, Bungie is a studio. Linking your Twitch account to your Bungie account is important because it will help you earn free rewards. Now, the rewards will be restricted to Destiny 2 only. And don’t expect any armor or weapons as rewards. Whatever reward you receive will be strictly cosmetic in nature.
Bungie has risen to popularity lately, thanks to Destiny 2. While these Twitch account drops aren’t really new, Bungie will probably start doing it more often to keep the hype going. That said, here’s a quick guide that will help you link your Bungie and Twitch accounts.
How to link Bungie and Twitch accounts?
The overall process is very simple. Here is a step-wise guide that will help you link the two accounts if you haven’t already done so.
Head over to Bungie.net from any internet browser.
Once you’ve made it to the website, log in to your account by selecting the “Sign In” option, and then select the platform you play Destiny 2 on from the drop-down list.

Next, navigate to the Account Settings page, and then click on the Account Linking option from the panel that opens up on the left of your screen.
On the page that opens, click on the “Link Account” tab beside the Twitch icon.

You will receive a prompt to authorize the linking. Once you’ve authorized it, your Twitch account should be linked with your Bungie account.
Why do you need to link these two accounts?
As mentioned before, Bungie keeps organizing these Twitch drop events every now and then. If your accounts aren’t linked, then you will not be able to collect any of the rewards that Bungie usually offers through Twitch drops. Moreover, if you’ve linked your accounts, you will have to watch a stream for a particular amount of time in order to be eligible for the drop.
For example, the Starbirth emblem was given to fans who watched a total of 30 minutes of the Bungie Showcase stream. Although it isn’t much, emblems are a nice way to decorate your account. Moreover, emblems that are a part of Twitch drops or similar promotions are slightly rare. Not many people participate in these promotions. Out of those who participate, many fail to meet the requirements for these rewards.
