This is the award-winning game Slime Rancher sequel, with over 15 million copies recorded in sales. Slime Rancher 2 is a game where you play as Beatrix LeBeau, a rancher who tries to make a living wrangling slime on the Far, Far Range. The new  Slime Rancher 2 includes many new things, such as the ability to visit different islands and new slimes. This guide will show you how to get to the new islands in Slime Rancher 2.

How to Get to New Islands in Slime Rancher 2

You can get to Ember Valley Region by destroying Pin Gordo and Starlight Strand by destroying Cotton Gordo. Currently, only two islands are open to exploring in Slime Rancher 2.

You will find the Lava Pool and rivers in Ember Valley. This region is characterized by frequent lava eruptions and water geysers, making it a dangerous but exciting place to explore. In addition to the four Gordos (Rock, Batty, Crystal, and Boom) that can be found in this region, players may also encounter some of the game’s new Slime species.

How to get to the Starlight Strand region

This is the second Slime Rancher 2 new island that you can explore. The Starlight strand looks opposite to Ember Valley Region. It is filled with cliffs, caves, and canyons. This is a place of mystery with its unusual plant life and strange rock formations. Also, the Starlight strand is split between coral and lavender palates facing each other. These two regions are also very different, and you can experience changes in the atmosphere when you enter one region to another. Follow the below steps to get into the Starlight strand.

  1. Go to the South area of the Map Shown on the Image. You will see a narrow path heading to the top of the hill.
  2. Go along this path, and you will notice the Cotton Gordo.
  3. Feed with Water Lettuce until Cotton Gordo Burst.
  4. Then, head into the small cave. You will notice the switch to activate the Portal.
  5. Activate the switch, and you will see the light of the Portal.
  6. Come out of the cave and head in the direction of light, and you will find the Portal.
  7. Step on the top of the Portal, and it takes you to the Starlight Strand

How to get to New Areas of Rainbow Island

Apart from the above two Islands, there are regions that you can unlock on Rainbow Island. To unlock these areas, you’ll need to destroy Phosphor Gordo, located in cave tunnels near the Conservatory home. Feed the Gordo with fruits, and it will burst, allowing you to access new expansion areas in the Conservatory. Each area costs a different amount of Newbucks to unlock: the Den and the Archway cost 1800 Newbucks, while the Tidepools cost 3500 Newbucks.
