The first step in your quest is finding the material-collecting Aranara. You can locate this type of forest spirit westwards of the Apam Woods, near the road. Once you interact with it, you now look for the transforming starshrooms in the wild. This food item looks like a mushroom with a star-shaped cap and is in abundance in Sumeru. Start by teleporting to Avidya Forest, then head east of Gandharva Ville. Get inside the tunnel to locate the starshroom.

Amber, one of the first characters you get in this stage, is good enough to turn the starshroom into its shriveled form. Hit the starshroom with a pyro attack for the transformation.
