During “Village Project: Restoring the Sunstone” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, players are tasked with mending three shards of the Sunstone, one of which is the Dusk Fragment. This objective becomes available after Dreamers have acquired the Gleaming Dawn Fragment. This fragment’s power was replenished by cooking several ingredients with the shard on a stove. These ingredients were Lemon, Ocean Water from Dazzle Beach, Oregano, and Mint. Once cooked, the Dawn Fragment would transform into its Gleaming variant. Conversely, the Dusk Fragment involves farming, meaning players will need to plant this shard for it to turn into its Gleaming version in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

According to Mother Gothel, the Dusk Fragment must be planted in the darkest part of the Valley — the Forgotten Lands. Once it has been buried, she states that players must water the farming plot as long as it needs to become the Gleaming Dusk Fragment in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

After following Mother Gothel’s orders to bury the Dusk Fragment in the Forgotten Lands, players will receive the objective: “Tend to the Dusk Fragment in the Forgotten Lands until it’s restored.” Due to the vague nature of these instructions, players might be confused about what they need to do to tend to the shard and obtain the Gleaming Dusk Fragment in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Fortunately, the answer is simple, as all Dreamers must do for the fragment to be restored is wait.

The restoration process for the Dusk Fragment will take around 24 hours of real-world time. However, players cannot just leave the shard alone for this entire duration. As Mother Gothel mentioned, the fragment must be occasionally watered while buried. Continuously checking on the shard to see if it needs water is undoubtedly a tedious task. Luckily, the in-game will spawn a red droplet icon above the fragment to indicate when it needs moisture. Accordingly, players can use this mechanic to know precisely when they should tend to the fragment. Once twenty-four hours have passed, the map icon will disappear, signifying the Gleaming Dusk Fragment is ready to be harvested.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
