If you know who Anthony Hopkins is (and why wouldn’t you?) then you know what his most iconic role is; the sociopath/psychopath Hannibal Lecter.

One of the most recognisable and terrifying villains in all of pop culture, Lecter is an engaging character and a fan favourite. As a result of this, Anthony Hopkins reprised the role twice. First there was the sequel to Silence of the Lambs ‘Hannibal in 2001. The following year, a prequel called ‘Red Dragon happened too. However, in an interview with The Wrap, Anthony Hopkins admits that he regretted returning after Lambs;

“I did it once, made the mistake of doing it twice — three times. ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ is okay. It was a good film.”

So what does this mean Hannibal? Would he be tempted back for another go at the role by the right script? It doesn’t look like it, telling The Wrap;

“I don’t want to do that. Done with that.”

Short and to the point, but he’s certainly a busy man these days. In addition to playing Thor’s father Odin in the MCU’s Thor movies, he is starring alongside Ian McKellen in the upcoming movie ‘The Dresser’.
