EA Access was originally considered exclusive to the Xbox One. Now the PC gets its turn with the service in the form of Origin Access.

EA Access ea-origin-access-detail
is a new membership service for PC gamers on Origin that launched with access to 15 EA titles. Games such as Battlefield 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Sims 3, and SimCity, to name a few. Origin users who want access to this service will have to pay $4.99 a month. Players who use the service will gain access to the full versions of over a dozen games. Players will also be able to gain early access to games prior to their release and save 10% on all Origin purchases. This includes full games, DLC, and content packs.

“At EA, we’re passionate about giving our players more variety, more flexibility, more value, and more fun,” the publisher said in a statement. “Origin Access brings players endless gaming with a growing collection of great PC games.”

EA seems to be wanting to continue to become better in the eyes of the public. The company has found a hit with EA Access on the Xbox One. Origin Access will likely yield similar results for the PC crowd. However, PS4 users are left out as EA Access is not available for the console. According to Playstation EU boss Jim Ryan, the service doesn’t fit into the Playstation ecosystem.

“We don’t have anything against EA Access, we just need to position it,” he said. “These sort of offerings they’ve got to fit into the framework of everything we do and everything that we offer. And we’re just not quite comfortable with how it sits within the whole ecosystem of our digital offering, including PlayStation Plus.”

Origin Access is now available on PC in the US, Canada, UK and Germany. According to EA, it will be “coming to more countries soon.”
