The updates have already started being a problem for Overwatch 2. The game had a lengthy beta process with two stages, and we thought it was ready for the final release. Overwatch 2 offers a good experience, but the developers are lazy about the updates. The fanbase was expecting a mid-season update with Halloween, but then we heard it’s not getting released that soon. The fans complained a lot about it last month, and they’re still mad about it. But Blizzard gives the second bad news for the anticipated update. Here is the latest update about the mid-season game update for Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 Mid-Season Game Update Gets Delayed
The mid-season update was expected to make significant character changes and fix the bugs. The game’s balance has been scattered lately, so we needed the update as soon as possible. According to the blog post from Blizzard, the developers needed to fix a critical problem before the release. The new release timeline is unclear, and they want to be patient with the fanbase. Here’s a part from the blog post:
“This includes the upcoming balance changes, bug fixes, including those that affect Mei, and core content updates we have planned for this patch. This delay also impacts the delivery of Overwatch League Viewership Incentives & Perks from the Postseason matches during the period between Oct 30 – Nov 4, along with the rotation of cosmetics in the Overwatch League shop.”
Some of the matches are annoyingly unbalanced, and it makes the game less fun. Alongside this, the bugs are still an issue for the game. We expected to play a less buggy game with the updates released just after the release. But they’re late as we ever wanted. The updates are getting released on the same date for every platform. Overwatch 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. You can head up whenever you prefer.
